2008 OMSU-NA Fund-Raising Dinner and Dance

Our Annual Congress for this year will be taking place in New Jersey from Friday, May 23 through Sunday, May 25. All Mawulians, and sympathizers and well-wishers of Mawuli School are invited to this event that promises to be a blast as promised by the Local Organizing Committee (LOC). Please bring your family and friends to this great celebration aimed at helping our alma mater. Please mark your calendars accordingly and note the following information below:

Hotel where Congress will be held : Hilton Newark Airport, 1170 Spring Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07201-2114 (3.55 miles from city center). Phone: 1-908-351-3900.

Reservations: To make room reservations at the hotel, please call 1-800-Hiltons and ask to reserve a room under Mawuli School Reunion. Or, please go to http://www.hilton.com and enter the group/convention code "MSR" You can also call Jenny Hung at 1-908-820-2932 to make your reservations. There is a firm cut-off date of April 1, 2008 so please make your booking now!
Room rates: $90 per night plus tax for rooms with 2 beds or king size beds.

Hotel Shuttle: The hotel has a shuttle which will accommodate us back and forth to the airport upon
arrival/departure.

Hospitality Suite & Special Reservations: A hospitality suite has been reserved to cater for our
evening reception at the hotel. This hotel is a full service hotel. The hotel has also reserved a special
ballroom for our MINI OMSU-NA (our children) with fun games and also to keep the spirit of OMSU alive with our up and coming youth. The grand ballroom has been reserved for our evening fundraising event as well as a Junior Ballroom for our morning meeting.

Parking & Continental Breakfast: Parking is not free. There is a daily surcharge so please utilize the
shuttle. Full continental breakfast will cost about $11.95 - $17.00 however, our folks (the LOC) in the
Tristate will do their best to accommodate us with this need.

Miatorwo, please find time to call the hotel as soon as possible. Bring your dancing shoes as well to New
Jersey. We need those hidden special borborbor skills you have. If this is your first time ever attending
any of the OMSU-NA congresses, I would encourage you to visit www.omsu.org to view pictures and get your laugh on with the pictures on the site. Should you have any questions, please call me at 678-368-3505.

Special Note: Because of rising costs, the OMSU-NA Executive Council, Board of Directors, and Advisory Board wish to make a special appeal to all to chip in a voluntary contribution of $20 that would go towards defraying the cost of providing food for the Friday evening reception, the Saturday afternoon lunch, and the Sunday afternoon barbecue.

Tickets for the Saturday evening Fundraising dinner/dance can be purchased from members of the LOC
and NAOC for only $50.
